It’s Norski Nibbles Time – 2024
Norski Nibbles will be operating this summer to provide kids with nutritious lunches. The need in our community is great! Last year we distributed approximately 4,500 lunches. With over 460 families eligible for free or reduced lunches in the DeForest Area School District, there will be a lot of hungry children in need of a nutritious meal. Norski Nibbles is filling that need with your help.
How can you help?
Monetary Donations
We asking that instead of food donations, monetary donations be made. Norski Nibbles has sources to buy the specific items that are needed. Please make checks payable to Christ Lutheran Church and put Norski Nibbles in the memo area and mail or drop off to CLC at 220 S. Main Street, DeForest. Thank you for your generosity!!!
Volunteer – Sign Up to Distribute Lunches
Christ Lutheran has been assigned the weeks of June 10 thru June 14 and August 12 thru August 16.
We are asking members who want to distribute the lunches to use the Sign Up.com program. Click on the Choose a spot on SignUp button below to select the park and date(s) you would like to volunteer and click the SignUp button. Enter your name, email address and phone number and then click Save. If you have used CLC’s SignUp in the past for Norski Nibbles, etc., some of your information may already be in SignUp and automatically entered. Volunteer – Day-to-Day Operations
We are also looking for volunteers to help in the day-to-day operations of Norski Nibbles. During the week, we need great sandwich makers, folks to help get the lunches ready for distribution, assist volunteers when picking up lunches and run additional lunches to parks when needed. Starting time begins at 9:00 am and ends around 1:00 pm. In addition, shoppers are needed to purchase food items at local stores and/or the DeForest Farmer’s Market.
